The presence of a socialist group was felt in Zamboanga city after the flag of their organization was spotted in front of a public college last Monday.

The flag was reported by a security guard of the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College after spotting the flag of the National Democratic Front posted in one of the gates of the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC.)

The security guard, identified as Johnsen L. Daniel, said that he removed the flag from where it was posted because it has no authorization from school officials for it to be displayed in front of the school.

Daniel turned over the flag to the Central Police Station, a move which prompted police to investigate the incident.

Security guards in the area however failed to notice who posted the flag in the area.

Police however said that flag might have something to do with a forum on constitutional reforms held at the Western Mindanao State University last Monday.  (Liza Jocson)
