Savores features 13 food establishments Print

A total of 13 food establishments participated in the recently-held Savores, a food festival held at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar last Saturday.

The list of restaurants that participated in the event include Anika Beverage Company, Alavar Seafoods Restaurant, Bay Tal Mal, Bistro Fellini, Boz Cafe and Resto, Chef Mikoy, Chinito’s, Garden Orchid Hotel, Greens en Grill, New Antonio’s Restaurant, Mel’s Grill, Ritchjoy Marketing, South Avenue Diner and Grill, Tribeca Modern Kitchen Bar.

Vice-Mayor Cesar Iturralde graced the opening ceremony at ten in the morning in behalf ot Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco- Salazar.

The event was also attended by City Tourism Officer Sarita Sebastian, DOT-9 Regional Director Butch Blanco, and Bryan Go, President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Zamboanga city.

Climaco- Salazar gave her support to the event following the success of last year’s pilot activity which aimed to maximize the promotion of the city’s culinary delights.

Savores, a local term for flavours, is one of the programs organized by the City Tourism Office to promote the Culinary Tour Package of the city of Zamboanga.

The Culinary Tour is one of the major tour packages prepared for tourists and guests which features the various food and locally made delicacies.

Savores Year II is organized by the city government of Zamboanga, the Department of Tourism-IX and the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines.  (LAJ)
