A policeman was accused of firing his service firearm indiscriminately towards a minor in an incident linked to the trade of illegal drugs in the city.

The incident was reported by the 15-year old minor at Artesano Lane Canelar at 11:45 last Friday.

A Police Regional Office-9 report said that two unidentified persons approached the minor and asked him for the whereabouts of the latter’s brother, identified as Johnymor Mercado.

When the minor failed to answer, one of the suspects then drew his firearm and fired towards the ground in front of the subject, while telling the latter to call his brother.

The minor reportedly failed to identify the suspects but said that they were riding onboard a grey motorcycle.

One of the minor’s brothers however was able to identify the suspects as policemen who ordered Johnymor to purchase shabu, an illegal drug.

Johnymor reportedly failed to deliver the item to the suspects, prompting the latter to visit the former’s place of residence.

Police are reportedly conducting a deeper investigation on the incident.
