Man accused of being Abu Sayyaf, shot Print

A man reportedly accused of being a member of the Abu Sayyaf was shot in Sangali last Friday.

A Police Regional Office-9 report identified the victim as Omar Murabi Taradji, 40 years old and a resident of Barangay Kasulutan, Jolo, Sulu.

Initial investigation showed that  the incident occurred while the victim was buying from a store in Sitio Entrada Fishport that morning.

Two unidentified suspects aboard a motorcycle reportedly alighted from their vehicle and shot the victim while shouting the following statement:  “Abu Sayyaf kaw, Abu Sayyaf kaw.”

The victim sustained two gunshot wounds on the head and was rushed to a government hospital for treatment.

Sangali Police Station personnel are still conducting a follow up investigation for the possible arrest of the suspects.  (LAJ)
