26 Drug surrenderors receive livelihood kits Print

More than 20 drug surrenderors were given livelihood kits by the Department of Labor and Employment during yesterday’s program in observance of Labor Day.

DOLE-9 Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo said that prior to the turn over, the beneficiaries underwent training with the TESDA to determine the livelihood program they will pursue as part of their rehabilitation.

The 26 beneficiaries were chosen from the different barangays of Zamboanga city.

The program was undertaken by the DOLE in partnership with the Zamboanga City Police Office and the barangays, groups responsible for choosing the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to DOLE officials for providing them with kits that will provide them a new life after engaging in drug abuse.
