A farmer was shot at his farm in Zamboanga del Norte last Thursday for being suspected as a military asset

A Police Regional Office-9 report identified the victim as Jacker Timoan Amoloy, 36 years old, married, a farmer also working as a CAFGU member and a resident at Sitio Longgamitan, Nasibac, Leon B. Postigo municipality, Zamboanga del Norte.

The report said that the victim’s wife, Lustina Amoloy was the one who discovered her husband’s lifeless body.

Worried why her husband failed to come home for breakfast that morning, she went to the latter’s farm to look for him and saw her husband lying bloodied on the ground.

Initial investigation showed that Jacker was shot by unidentified men who may have murdered him for being a suspected asset and an ally of the Philippine Army in their area.

The municipal police station is still conducting a follow-up investigation on the incident. (LAJ)
