A businessman was shot and robbed along the Boalan portion of Maria Clara Lobregat Highway at dawn yesterday.

Divisoria Police Station Commander Chief Inspector Arlan Delumpines identified the victim as Rosendo Culongan Tuling, 43 years old, married and a resident of Pasobolong.

Initial investigation showed that the incident happened when Tuling was riding on a motorcycle driven by a certain Eduardo Aragaon and on his way home coming from his store in Guiwan at around 2am yesterday.

Upon reaching the portion of the road fronting Golden Haven cemetery, three men riding on another motorcycle chased them while shooting at the duo.

Upon being hit, Tuling and Aragon plunged to the ground.  Robbers then took Tuling’s bag and sped away from the scene of the crime.

The victim was taken to a private hospital after being given first aid by paramedics.

The Divisoria police have launched a thorough investigation for the arrest of the suspects.  (Dan Toribio)
