State of the Art building turned over to Ayala Central School Print

“I have a good and inspiring feeling, every time I come to Ayala Central School”. These are the warm words of introduction of Congressman Lobregat during the turn-over ceremonies over the weekend of the newly built state of the art P40-million pesos worth (4) storey-(20) classroom building in Ayala Central School which was funded by PAGCOR.

Congressman Lobregat recounted that the transformation of Ayala Central School (ACS) started during the time when he became the city mayor of Zamboanga City until his present term as Representative of District 1, the total of 84 out of 116 classrooms of the entire ACS campus was building during his administration and representation.

The school buildings constructed during the time when Lobregat was mayor, were the SPED Center,(2) storey-(6) classroom building, another (2) storey-(8) classroom, a (2) storey-(8) classroom building for Grade III, and the biggest structure which is the (2) storey-(27) classroom building funded by the city government of Zamboanga.

After his term as a mayor and on his first term in congress, Lobregat facilitated the construction of a (3) storey-(15) classroom building and the newest (4) storey-(20) classroom building at ACS which was turned-over last Saturday.

Basing on statistics, the solon said, the student teacher ration of ACS has reached 1:56 before and with the newly constructed edifice for the students, it will now go down to 1:44 student-teacher ratio with a total of 5,309 students enrolled in the said school.

“Ta hace yo todo para mas facil con el mga maestra ensenya con el mga estudyante, pero masquin cuanto nuevo edeficio pa quita pone aqui na ACS si el ensenyada del mga maestra hinde amo, sayang lang el de aton esfuerzo,” Lobregat said.

Congressman Lobregat called on the school principal, teachers and parents of ACS to have the heart in taking care of the building and in teaching the students with humility and patience for them to understand and obtain a better education for their future.

Meantime, ACS school principal Dr. Ronald Abaa also expressed his warm gratitude to Congressman Lobregat and PAGCOR for giving the this huge gift in time for the culmination of the “Brigada Eskwela” program.

“This is the best gift we have received today, this will greatly resolve our classroom problem among our thousands of students,” Abaa said.

He said that the new building will be utilized by the Grade VI students for them to have a conducive learning environment before they graduate from the said learning institution. – DEXTER YAP
