A group of police retirees in the region are demanding the release of benefits and deferential funds for their members.

The Police Retirees Association, Inc (PRAI) region 9 is reportedly slated to hold a rally anytime soon to demand the release of their benefits from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and the Department of Budget and Management.

The association will hold their rally simultaneously with other groups nationwide.

“Since 2008 hanggang ngayon hindi pa namin natatanggap ang aming differentials at benefits from the GSIS at wala pang action ang DBM Central Office sa aming hinting,” said Eduardo de Guzman, PRAI Zamboanga city President.

The association earlier held a series of meetings in Camp Crame to air their grievances.

Police Director Julmunier Jubail, who is said to have spearheaded the mass action, will coordinate with the different chapters in the country for the schedule of the grand rally. (Allen Abastillas)
