A sick inmate at the Zamboanga City Jail died in the hospital last Saturday afternoon.

The inmate was identified as Kidarson Ammad, 56, of San Roque.

JO1 Jhoenelle Galvez, in his report to Police Station 11, disclosed that at around 5:33 p.m., Ammad was rushed to the hospital after complaining that he was not feeling well. However, he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Accordingly, Ammad had been suffering from liver cirrhosis (cancer of the liver).

Ammad was committed at the jail facility last July 19, 1012 after he was charged for allegedly selling illegal drugs.
