DTI launches program to help indigent entrepreneurs Print

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched its “Pondo Sa Pagbabago At Pag-Asenso” or P3 program yesterday at a local hotel in Zamboanga.

The program, one of the programs under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, aims to assist underprivileged entrepreneurs in making their business grow.

The P3 program offers entrepreneurs loans amounting from P5,000 to P100,000 which is payable either daily or weekly.

“ This program is very easy to access, walang hassle, and in a day you can get the money,” Engr Rolando Acuña , DTI-9 Assistant Regional Director stressed.

DTI Small Business Corporation will manage and administer the P1 billion fund for the program nationwide through the accredited Micro-Finance Institutions (MFI.)

A list of accredited MFIs will be offered to entrepreneurs soon.

During the launching, 47 MFIa participated and were given the orientation on P3 accreditation.
