The annual general assembly organized by the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative has been postponed due to the prevailing security situation and the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao.

A statement from the Zamboanga city government said that the 42nd Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) scheduled for June 18 has been deferred.

This is reportedly due to the present situation and the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao per Proclamation 216 issued by President Rodrigo Duterte.

The city hall statement also said that the National Electrification Administration (NEA) issued a memorandum postponing the conduct of the AGMA to the fourth quarter of this year.

Under this order, local cooperative officials must submit the new date for the membership assembly at least 30 days prior to the conduct of the activity.  (LAJ)
