PDEA arrests 5 drug suspects in Sibugay PDF Print E-mail

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested five persons in two separate drug operations in Zamboanga Sibugay this week.

PDEA 9 Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio disclosed that at around 12:40 a.m. yesterday, PDEA agents with police operatives conducted a buy-bust operation in Green Meadows Subdivision in barangay Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay that led to the arrest of Ebarly Banguih y Quipanez, 50 and Hazien Banguih y Osana, 24, both of the same place.

Aspacio said that the older Banguih is listed as fifth in the list of Top Drug Personalities while the younger Banguih is a member of the Dawami Banguih Drug Group operating in the said province.

PDEA agents confiscated from their possession two sachets of suspected shabu and P300 marked money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Sections 26, (Attempt or conspiracy) in relation to Section 5 (selling) and Section 11, (Possession of dangerous drugs) of Article II of  Republic Act 9165.

Last June 6 at around 9 p.m. PDEA agents also conducted a buy-bust operation in Purok Nuevo 1, barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay that resulted to the arrest of three suspects.

They were identified as Randy Yu y Abison, 32, single, of Bangkerohan; Karen Tomarong y Sampigan, 19, single, of Don Andres, both of Ipil and Maryjane Elentorio y Bornalez, 21, single, of barangay Silingan, Surabay.

PDEA agents seized from their possession two sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and P200 marked money.

The suspects will be charged for  violation of Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy), in relation to Section 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drugs Paraphernalia), Article II of RA 9165. – Dan Toribio
