Task Force Ordinance under the City Administrator’s Office in coordination with the Tricycle Adjudication Board (TAB) and the City Hall Community Police Action Center (COMPAC) aggressively pursues the campaign against colorum tricycles, overcharging drivers and other violations of the tricycle law.

Daily, combined elements are deployed to the streets at random to monitor violators who prey on students, professionals, terminal passengers and ordinary individuals.

Last Thursday, May 8, alone, the task force apprehended over 50 tricycle ordinance violators and impounded 12 tricycle units.

The renewed campaign since the opening of classes stretches up to weekends and even holidays.

Mayor Beng Climaco has ordered a sustained campaign against erring tricycle drivers who have been the subjects of complaints by the public in the social media.

The mayor has encouraged the complainants to file their complaints with the TAB located at the City Legal office in City Hall or through telephone numbers 991-7294.

She assured that the TAB will run after the violators of the law for as long as the complainants will pursue their charges. (Sheila Covarrubias/PR)
