The West Metro Medical Center (WMMC) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) entered into an agreement to rehabilitate laborers with work-related disabilities and sickness, in ceremonies held at the WMC Conference room yesterday.

The Memorandum of Agreement was entered into between the hospital and the Employees Compensation Commission (ECC,) a Government Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC) attached to the DOLE.

Under the MOA, workers who encounter an accident at work which leads to disability or those with work-related sicknesses can avail of rehabilitation services from a hospital to be funded by West Metro, an ECC-accredited hospital.

The rehabilitation of workers will be undertaken by West Metro and ECC will shoulder the cost.

The package is available to SSS and

GSIS members.

“We are partnering with DOLE to tell people that this is available.  The service of ECC is available to SSS and GSIS members.  It’s an additional benefit,” said Ramon H. Diaz, West Metro Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer.  (RGAAGo)
