Two teachers arrested for Estafa Print

Police have arrested two public school teachers inside their school campus for allegedly committing Estafa and Falsification of Public Documents.

The suspects were identified as Ma. Susan Magadia Bucoy, 58, married, a resident of Culianan and Rosita Siao Tan, 50, married, and a resident of Tetuan.  Both are teachers of the Zamboanga City High School Main.

The warrant of arrest was served to Bucoy  and Tan by personnel from the Tetuan Police Station inside the school campus.

The two have pending warrants of arrest for Estafa and Falsification of Public Documents with case numbers 17-28939 and 17-28940 dated June 9, 2017 issued by Judge Joyce Kho Mirabuena in General Santos City.

The two teachers were taken to the Tetuan Police Station for proper disposition.

Last Tuesday, another woman was arrested by police in Sitio Diniwid, Barangay Balabag, Boracay island also for the crime of Estafa.

The suspect was identified as Daisy Martinez Bansalan, 28 years old, single.

Bansalan was arrested by joint operatives of the Zamboanga Central Police Station’s Detective Management Unit and the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center.

Bansalan was arrested on the strength of a warrant for Estafa with case number 51794 issued by Judge Carlo Martin Alcala, of the Municipal Trial Court, Branch 3, Zamboanga City dated November 11, 2014 with P10,000 recommended bail bond and for criminal case number 29532-29537 (11 counts) still for Estafa, issued by Judge Catherine Fabian of the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 in Zamboanga city dated December 28, 2015 with a recommended bail of P18,000.

Bansalan was transported to this city and was detained at the Central Police Station. (Dan Toribio)
