The Highway Patrol Group-9 together wtih the Philippine Army held an information drive on the Anti Distracted Driving Act and the Children’s Safety on Motorcycle Act of 2017, in Isabela and Lamitan cities.

HPG-9 Basilan Chief Inspector Alson Aripin said that the drive was conducted to inform motorists of the implementation of the new laws, which accordingly includes high penalties.

Violators face a fine of P5,000 for the first offense and revocation of Driver’s License for the third offense.

Aripin appealed to motorists to follow the law since these were passed for their own safety especially their children.
