PASUC bats for free tuition, miscellaneous for SUCs Print

The Philippine Association of State Colleges and Universities (PASUC) is planning on all state colleges and universities to offer free tuition and miscellaneous to its students by the second semester of this school year.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting of all PASUC members in Manila from July 5 to 6.

The meeting was said to be attended by Senate Committee on Finance Chairperson Sen Loren Legarda and Senate Education Committee Chairman Senator Chiz Escudero.

The proposal to offer free tuition and miscellaneous was agreed on by all PASUC members, according to Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College President Dr Nelson Cabral.

The proposal was made for the benefit of all indigent students who are enrolled in state colleges and universities. (Allen Abastillas)
