The Land Transportation Office-9 (LTO-9) district office in Isabela city has intensified its operations against traffic violations particularly on the implementation of the Anti Distracted Driving Act.

The operation was held by the LTO-9 in coordination with the Highway Patrol Group-9.

The operations were held following an information drive conducted by the agency last July 6.

LTO District Officer Habier A. Kalbi disclosed that operations were focused on the highways of Maluso, Isabela and Lamitan cities.

Ironically, most of the drivers apprehended were violating the Seat Belt Law.

Most of the violators are drivers of utility vans.

“Maliit lang kasi itong Basilan.  Iisa lang ang highway.  Madali lang sila mahuli lalo na ang mga drivers,” said Kalbi.  (Allen Abastillas)
