Southern City Colleges celebrate 105th Anniversary Print

The Southern City Colleges (SCC) is celebrating its 105th Founding Anniversary today with a series of activities intended to enliven the occasion.

Merriments kick off with a Thanksgiving Mass at 8:00 A.M at the One SCC Civic Center, Southern City Colleges, INC. – West Campus, in Barangay San Jose Gusu, this city. Celebrant of the mass will be Reverend Father Jonathan A. Duka along with Bañez Choir of the Our Lady of the Purification Parish (Nuestra Señora Virgen de Candelaria) of Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City providing intercessional hymns.

Immediately following the mass will be the inauguration of new facilities, i.e., the Computer Laboratory, new classrooms, and the new Faculty Lounge.

After the ceremonies, breakfast and refreshments are to be served at the Basement prior to simultaneous Blood Letting activities at 9:00 A.M. at the One SCC Civic Center of the West Campus and at the Araceli F. Caliolio Multimedia Learning Center of the City Campus. These activities are conducted in cooperation with the Zamboanga Chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross.

At 3:oo P.M. of the same day, Reverend Father Elmer Sumile shall lead the inauguration and blessing rites of the Administration and 8-classroom buildings of the SCCI – East  Campus along to the MCLL Highway, Barangay Divisoria, Zamboanga City.
