LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord…” (Romans 12:11, the Holy Bible).

THINGS THAT CHRISTIANS MUST THINK, SAY, AND DO: People who say they are Christians must be told that Christianity is not just a matter of saying they believe in Jesus as God and Savior. If they wish to truly receive in them the benefits of their faith, there are things they must think about, seriously consider, and must do, on a day-to-day basis.

As far as the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (AND KNK, or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church is concerned, each and every believer must, after accepting Jesus as God and Savior and as God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, engage themselves on the commands contained in Joshua 1:8, Hebrews 10:25, and Malachi 3:8-12 of the Bible. This will lead to full maturity as believers.

Joshua 1:8 deals with the requirement to read the Bible daily, to think about what was read day and night, and to sincerely obey the commands written therein. The objective of this is to flood our minds—which is in reality the battleground for good and evil—with God’s thoughts, plans, and, yes, commands for a successful and prosperous life, and for eternal salvation.

POVERTY AND DIFFICULT LIVES COME FROM A MIND CONTROLLED BY EVIL: This is the reason why we are told to transform and renew our minds, and not to conform to the patterns of this world any longer. This world is full of evil everywhere, and this is in control of many people. The end result of this control of the devil of the world is conflicts, disputes, and dissensions, which lead to poverty and difficult lives.

We can transform and renew our minds and avoid being controlled by the devil if we immerse ourselves in reading, studying, and obeying the commands of God in the Bible. If we read the Bible daily and meditate on it day and night, we shall be empowered with the plans of God, which are plans not to harm us, but to give us a good future and a bright tomorrow.

Then, knowing what God’s plans are for us, we can then will ourselves, by the grace of God, to act according to His purpose and to His plans. Many call this “positive” or “power” thinking, but among AND KNK members, it is simply called “B-B-T”, an acronym derived from the words which, when translated in English, would refer to “reading” (“basahin”, the first “B”), “meditating” (“bulay-bulayin”, the second “B”), and obeying (“tuparin”, the letter “T”).

EMPOWERING BELIEVERS WITH OBEDIENCE: Once believers are empowered in their thoughts, beneficial and powerful change will come to them, for that is the promise to those who read, meditate on, and obey, the Bible—“then you will become prosperous and successful”. They can then fulfill the two other things they must do as believers—to attend Church gatherings regularly, and to help the Church send out its workers to all the world by their tithes, and gifts.

Indeed, it is clear that there is a requirement for every believer to join their fellow believers during gatherings to praise, worship, and thank God. We are told not to skip these gatherings, as some are in the habit of doing, because it is through these gatherings that our faith in God is strengthened all the more, empowering us even more for our daily lives.

Finally, it is the obligation of each and every believer to participate in the work of preaching the Word and saving souls through the truth that Jesus is God and Savior, and is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is the work that every AND KNK member must do. How can this work be successful? By seeing to it that the Church has the money to send out its workers everywhere, and this is done through tithing and giving of gifts to the Church.
