The Land Transportation Office-9 (LTO-9) has registered a P3-million increase in revenue collection for the first seven months of the year compared to the same period last year.

Based on LTO records, revenue collection from January to July amounted to P7.236,310.

The figure reflects an increase of  P3.2-million compared to last year’s P4,015,320.

The LTO-9 has collected a total amount of P6,549,560 for the entire 2016.

Olloy Jalaluddin, Law Enforcement Division Chief, said that the increase in revenue collection was the result of stricter enforcement of the Traffic Code.

Meanwhile, Jalaluddin said that his enforcers are now concentrating on the implementation of laws on Anti- Distracted Driving and Safety for Children Aboard Motorcycles.

He appealed to motorists to follow all traffic laws to avoid accidents.  (Allen Abastillas)
