The city government through the City Social Welfare and Development Office will launch a series of feeding activities in line with the government’s nutrition program.
Some 9,427 daycare pupils will benefit from the massive supplemental feeding program according to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

The series of feeding activities, which is expected to begin next week is an initiative of the National Government thru the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office with CSWDO under Mr. Francisco Barredo as the implementing office. The program will run for 120 days.

According to Barredo, there are 227 active daycare centers in the City with 9,427 students who will be beneficiaries of this special program.
By computation, each student will be allocated with P12.50 per day.

According to Barredo, nutritionists of DSWD came up with a ready menu where the parents of the children will be the ones who will cook the meals to be served for their children during feeding program.

Barredo said that the activity will also promote the active participation of the parents in a program where the nutrition of their children is involved.  — Richard Aliangan/City Hall PIO
