NHA, City turn over 433 Z3R houses in Vale Vista III PDF Print E-mail

Four hundred thirty three (433) Siege affected families staying at the transitory sites in Mampang or with their families in the city have returned to their permanent houses in Vale Vista Subdivision Phase III in Kasanyangan.

This, as Mayor Beng Climaco and National Housing Authority (NHA) officials spearheaded Monday the turnover of 433 houses on stilts to mostly badjao families in ceremonies held at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar.

Most of the beneficiaries were originally from Rio Hondo, some from sitio Layag-layag while others were from Sta. Barbara, Sta. Catalina and Mariki- areas declared by authorities as no return zones due to security reasons or environmental hazards.

The 433 families awarded with houses Monday composed the first batch of beneficiaries and were half the total number of housing slots at Vale Vista III.

The Vale Vista III permanent site covers 77,458 square meters with 866 housing units at a total cost of P172.569 million. The project is undertaken by the Gulf Canary Construction and Development and under the supervision of the NHA. (Sheila Covarrubias)
