Girl drowns in Lamisahan river PDF Print E-mail

A female high school student of Sangali National High School died from drowning at the Lamisahan River last Saturday morning.

Police Regional Information Officer Chief Insp. Helen Galvez identified the victim as Isnida Ajahum Taring, 16, single and a grade 11 student.

Taring’s body was recovered  at around 7:15 p.m.

A police report disclosed that Taring with six classmates went to the river in Lamisahan and had a picnic around 10a.m.

While swimming, Taring was taken by strong water current towards the deep end of the river and failed to swim back.

Taring’s body was claimed by her relatives for burial after a post mortem examination. – Dan Toribio
