The City Public Information Office has issued an advisory after a higher than normal level was registered at the Pasonanca dam  yesterday afternoon.

Based on the advisory, the Pasonanca dam has reached 75.64 meters, a figure higher than the normal level of 74.20 cubic meters.

The figure was registered at around 3pm yesterday.

The rise in level was attributed to continuous torrential rains in the watershed area.

The public information office has warned people residing along river banks and low lying areas to seek higher grounds and take precautionary measures to prevent loss of lives and property.

Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council members were also urged to be alert and act as ground commanders as the need arises.  (LAJ)
