A 13-year old girl has accused an Indian national of raping her in a Zamboanga motel last Saturday.

Central Police Station Commander Supt Ariston LImos identified the suspect as Gur Greet Singh, 31 years old, a resident of Tetuan and one among many Indian nationals doing business in the city.

Singh along with his accuser, a 13-year old girl whose identity was withheld, were turned over by SPO1 Janet Acenas of the Sinunuc Police Station’s Women and Children Protection Desk to the Central Police Station last Monday.

Police said that Singh took the teen-ager to a motel where he allegedly raped her.

Singh was detained at the Central Police Station pending the filing of Rape charges in relation to Republic Act 7610.  (Dan Toribio)
