2 terrorists slain at Lake Lanao Print

Two fighters of the Daesh-inspired group were slain in the operations of troops patrolling at Lake Lanao last Tuesday night.

A patrol team under Lieutenant Junior Grade Sincero monitored a suspected banca boarded by two persons moving towards the main battle area in Marawi City.

LTJG Sincero ordered the troops to get near the banca to confirm its identity; however, the suspicious persons fired upon the said troops resulting to a firefight.

One of the persons aboard the banca fell into the water after being hit by a Caliber .50 machine gun.

After the firefight, the patrol team inspected the banca and recovered several ammunition.

Said operation yielded to the death of two local terrorists.

Retrieved by the troops were a dead body, two rounds of RPG, 55 rounds of 7.62mm, an EA booster charger, a rifle grenade, and several floating devices.
