Cops arrest eighteen for illegal drugs Print

Eighteen persons were arrested in three separate drug bust operations in Zamboanga City.

Around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, men of the Sangali Police Station arrested Ivan Laurence Habing y Yee, 18, Abdulhasis Habing y Sakaluran, 18, Kaiser Sakaluran y Manan, 18, Rajib Asan y Gandi, 17, and Dennis Reyes y Rossal, 18, all single and residents of Sangali.

Police confiscated from them a heat sealed sachet of shabu, 12 heat sealed straw also containing shabu, and the marked money.

At around 10:00 p.m. of Tuesday, men of the Sta. Maria Police Station and soldiers of the Task Force Zamboanga arrested Diana Domin y Duhaylungsod, 17, of Masuhud Drive, Tumaga, John Raven Villanueva y Angsa, 17, of Uranus Drive, Tumaga,  Luigi Atilano y Deluvio, 19, of Paradise Valley, Pasonanca, Kevin Eslit y Villa, 18, of Bat Compound, Gov. Camins Avenue,Giovani Abdulkalam y Banal, 16, of Paradise Valley, Pasonanca, Reynante Guatlo y Lorenzo, 20, of Bat Compound, Gov. Camins Avenue and Prince Marba y Dagohoy, 17, also of Bat Compound, Gov. Camins Avenue.

They were arrested after they were caught in the act having a marijuana (pot session) in Pasonanca Park near the barangay hall.

Police confiscated from them six transparent plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana dried leaves, 8 transparent plastic sealer containing residues of suspected marijuana and a wallet.

Police said the seized marijuana leaves were estimated to cost P2,500 street value.

Around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, men of the Divisoria Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Tugbungan that led to the arrest of Jurdin Ladja Haluddin, 24, Adzhar Sariol Jajiron, 28, Munim Abdulpata Ibrahim, 23, Ajim Isnain Jajirul, 19, Jeffrey Ismael Umda, 26 and Almujir Khan Santos Jerson, 20.

Police confiscated from their possession four sachets of shabu, six crumpled aluminum foils, two rolled aluminum foils, three pieces of rolled tissue papers, several other drug paraphernalia and P300 marked money.

The arrested drug personalities were detained at the different police stations pending the filing of charges in court against them. – Dan Toribio
