After the alleged foiled abduction that took place in Sta. Maria last Tuesday afternoon when armed men onboard a Toyota Revo tried to abduct an 18-year-old female college student, another teenager was reportedly abducted by unidentified men along the junction of Gov. Ramos Avenue and Tugung Road in the same barangay on Wednesday morning.

The victim told the police that she was walking along the said road at around 9:00 a.m. when two men onboard a utility van type vehicle forcibly took her.

The victim said that when she was inside the vehicle, one of the suspects covered her mouth with a piece of cloth and she fell unconscious.

With limited details, the victim told the police that at around 3:00 p.m.  the following day, Thursday, the suspects brought her to Suterville where she was put on a tricycle that brought her home to Cabatangan.

The incident was reported to the Sta. Maria Police Station for investigation.

Meanwhile, Sta. Maria Police Station Commander, Chief Insp. Joseph Ortega told DZT that he and his men are still conducting a thorough investigation for the possible arrest of the suspects.

Ortega said that the two incidents were perpetrated by two groups as they were using different vehicles. (Dan Toribio)
