Two Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) buildings worth P221 million is set to rise inside the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority (ZamboEcozone) located at barangay Talisayan, this city.

Christopher Lawrence S. Arnuco, Zamboecozone chairperson and administrator, said in an interview that the two BPO buildings will have four storey and are expected to be finished by the year 2018.

According to Arnuco, the establishment will house call centers, medical transcription companies, among others.

“We are hoping the private sector will invest but there are no investments yet. So, the government can help the private sector  by providing area to them,” Arnuco said.

He pointed out that in the heart of the city, the space is already limited for BPOs since it require hectares of land.

“We still have hectares of land in the Ecozone and this is the reason why we are offering our area,” Arnuco said.

The Ecozone chairman said that once the said establishment is completed, many investors will surely come. (R.G. A A. Go)
