Case readied for man who hacked wife, son Print

A man who was arrested for hacking his wife and son and even burning their house in Sitio Tigbao, Licomo, east of this city was taken to the City Prosecutor Office for an inquest proceeding.

Police identified the suspect as Roderick Guevara. He was immediately arrested after the incident last Friday night.

Guevara reportedly hacked his wife Josephine and son Julius, 11. And thereafter set their house on fire.

Initial police investigation showed that Roderick was under the influence of liquor went he arrived home last Friday night and with no apparent reason suddenly went berserk and hacked his wife and son.

The report said that the victims sought assistance from their neighbors but Roderick chased and even stabbed the wall of their neighbors. After which, he went back home and burned their house.

He was arrested by operatives of the Vitali Police Station led by Chief Insp. Joseph Lim. – Dan Toribio
