Anti-drugs ops downtown nets P150K shabu Print

Police operatives from Police Station 9 on Wednesday apprehended an alleged drug pusher in a buy-bust operation at Zaragoza Street and seized several sachets of suspected shabu worth P150, 000.

As this developed, Mayor Beng Climaco commended the law enforcers headed by the OIC Station Commander PSI Albert Alfaro and the supporting agencies such as the Ayala Barangay Peace and Order Council committee led by Kagawad Alex Macapili for the successful operation that took place near the City Hall premises around 1:50pm Wednesday, September 13.

She said the relentless campaign against illegal drugs in the city is gaining headway and is fully supported by the local government.

The police identified the suspect as Kyla Pakihi y Kaya also known as Kyla, 19 years old of Sta. Catalina. Confiscated from her possession were 5 sachets of shabu, in various sizes, marked money and other items.

The suspect is now detained at the Ayala Police and faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165. (Sheila Covarrubias/PR)
