An enlisted personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) was arrested after he pointed a gun at a policeman inside the Shindig Beer Joint in Gov. Camins Avenue, this city, last Tuesday morning.

The suspect was identified as PO3 William Gonzales y Albios, 36, a PCG member and a resident of barangay Mangusu, east of this city.

Gonzales reportedly pointed his .45 caliber pistol at PO2 Arnel Ferrer around 5:30 a.m.

A police report showed that Ferrer and his confidential informant were sitting in a store when Gonzales, who was also in the area, suddenly drew his .45 caliber pistol and aimed at at the former.

At this point, the police confidential informant hurriedly grabbed the gun from the hands of Gonzales, subdued and overpowered him.

Ferrer then immediately called for back-up from Sta. Maria Police Station to arrest Gonzales for further investigation.
