Two slot machines seized, operator apprehended Print

Operatives of the Central Police Station’s Intelligence Section led by Chief Insp. Elmer Solon arrested a 42 year old man for illegally operating two slot machines in Atis Drive, Baliwasan last Thursday night.

Nabbed was Romulo Delatado y Samoya, married.

Police also confiscated from the suspect’s residence two slot machines locally known as “apple-apple”.

A police report disclosed that prior to the arrest of Delatado, a police under cover pretended to be a bettor and even played on the slot machines.

After confirming the existence of the slot machines, police back-up team swooped down in the area and arrestedDelatado.

The machines were also confiscated and were taken along with Delatdo to the police station.

The seized machines were turned over to the station while Delatado was placed under investigation.

Ever since, police authorities stressed that the operation of slot machines and “video karera” in the city are illegal.   – Dan Toribio
