House Commitee on Public Works Chairman and Congressman Celso Lobregat revealed that the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH), is already in the process of conducting the feasibility study for the proposed construction of two fly-overs in two separate locations in the city.

Congressman Lobregat, in his most recent coordinating conference with DPWH officials in the region, he has urged the agency to make this project one of the priorities for 2018-2019 in order to appropriate substantial funds from the national government.

The solon said that this two fly-over which he has pinpointed to be established along Sta.Cruz_ Veterans avenue-Gov.Camins avenue intersection and in San Roque-Upper Calarian intersection, will be the concrete solution to traffic congestion problems in these major thoroughfares.

Lobregat said that the traffic problem in Zamboaga city can be considered already as a daily disaster to all motorists plying the said routes, especially in District I.

Congressman Lobregat said that the influx of motor vehicles plying the city streets is already un-manageable,and if the national government thru his office and the DPWH will not intervene by pouring road widening & other infrastructure projects in the national roads leading to city roads, nothing happens.  -Dexter Yap
