Canadian national succumbs to heart attack Print

A Canadian national died after complaining of chest pain and difficulty in breathing in Sitio Canalog, barangay Obay, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte last Friday.

Gary William Empey, 70, married to Flora Bicoy, 45, of the mentioned place was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

A police report showed that around 1 a.m.  Empey stood up to answer the call of nature but he complained of chest pain and breathing disorder.

At this point, Flora advised him to see a doctor but Empey declined and said he wasjust fine.

Moments later, Empey collapsed and fell unconscious which prompted his wife to rush him to a nearby hospital.

However, the physician at the Zanorte Cooperative Hospital in Turno, Dipolog City declared him dead on arrival.

Physician declared that Empey died due to acute myocardial enfarction (massive). – Dan Toribio
