As the all-out war on drugs continues in Zamboanga City, the Tetuan Police Station early yesterday dawn scored big time with the arrest of a notorious drug couple and the confiscation of some P1.2 million pesos worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation carried out by police operatives in Sitio, Bugok, Barangay Kasanyangan.

Police identified the arrested couple as Prince Valliant Garcia y Timbayan, 29 and Aiza Garcia y Adjimi, 28, residents of the said barangay

The buy-bust operation led by Police Supt. Nonito Asdai, Tetuan Police Station Chief, was conducted at around 2:40 a.m. at Sitio Bugok, Kasanyangan wherein the couple sold the drug items to an undercover police operative which led to their immediate arrest. The couple also yielded one medium size sachet of shabu (buy-bust item), five big packs and a large size plastic containing shabu.

The police also recoved the five pieces of P100  bill  which the operative use as marked money.

Supt. Asdai and his men under the Special Drugs Enforcement Team (SDET) brought the arrested couple along with their illegal drugs items to the Tetuan Police Station for further investigation.

The suspects are now detained while the seized drug items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Asdai said that they have readied charges against the couple in court. – Dan Toribio
