Lamitan bares bigger budget for 2018 PDF Print E-mail

The Lamitan City Government has disclosed that its annual budget for the fiscal calendar year of 2018 amounting to P530,405,875 million is considerably higher compared to the current year which is P 493,959,655. million.

During the Lamitan City Council budget hearing on Wednsday presided by Councilor Joaquin “Boy” Puri Jr., chairman of the Committee on Appropriation, with the members of the august body, the chairman disclosed that the increase in next year’s budget is P36,446,220 million.

Councilor Puri along with councilors Rima Hassan, Clarito San Juan, Noel Baul, Malik Uyag and Ajid Dalawis conferred with the different chiefs division heads.

Councilor San Juan stressed during the hearing that there is a need to increase the personnel of some offices especially those in the frontline services like the City Health Office, City Agriculture, Disaster Risk-Reduction and Management, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Veterinary and City Engineering Office, among others.

While Councilor Hassan also commended the offices who are income generating because of their effective and efficient collection like the City Treasurer’s, City Assessor’s and City Registry of Deeds

She also cited the different frontline service offices for their dedication and commitment in working for the progress and development of the entire city.-Allen Abastillas
