18k vacancies up for Hermosa job fair Print

Some 18,000 employment opportunities are up for grabs at the Hermosa Job Fair slated on Friday, October 20 at the KCC Mall East Wing.

Organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and KCC Mall, the job fair will involve 50 recruitment agencies who will be offering 18,532 local and overseas job postings for qualified applicants.

Among available vacancies for local postings are for management trainees, service crews, HR assistants, cashier, stockman, autocad, engineers, encoders, drivers, accounting staff, digital and graphic artists, waiters, sales officer, company nurse, and receptionists, among others.

For overseas jobs, vacancies available are for healthcare professionals (nurses, x-ray technicians, respiratory and physical therapists), service crews, cashiers, laborers, and skilled jobs such as riggers and welders.

The job fair will be a whole-day affair, from 9 am to 4 pm. Job applicants are advised to register with PESO, and to bring their resume and other credentials to the job fair.

The job fair is an annual event held as part of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival and is part of the employment program of the local government.-(Jasmine Hohammadsali)
