Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police arrested two alleged notorious drug pushers in barangay Sanito, IPil, Zamboanga Sibugay last Monday night.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the arrested persons as  Ansar Jainal y Baha alias “Badol””, 33, married, of Purok Saging, Barangay Tenan, and Alih Esmail y Casim, 32, married, of Purok Gemelina, Barangay Sanito.  Both are residents of  Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The arresting team was able to confiscate from their possession  two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, one heat-sealed yellow plastic straw containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, all weighing more or less 0.6 gram worth P1,500.00, and a folded aluminum foil.

The operatives also recovered the P500.00 utilized as buy-bust money from the suspects.

Aspacio said that the PDEA will file cases for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspects in court. (Dan Toribio)
