Ten persons allegedly involved in illegal gambling activities were arrested in two separate occasions last Tuesday.

At around 4 p.m., Tetuan Police Station personnel conducted to the police station Raul Narag y Sales, 48, married, Godofredo Medina y Ramillano, 54, married, George Falcasantos, 57, married, all of Tetuan, Roderick Vesagas, 49, of Sta. Maria, Romeo Morcilla y Punsalan, 61, married of Tetuan and Antonio Isias Catimbang, 60, of Sta. Maria.

They were arrested in Natividad Street, Tetuan, playing mahjong.

Police also confiscated from their possession two sets of mahjong chips, two mahjong tables and some gambling paraphernalia.

An hour and a half later, the same team conducted to the police station Gina Larbo y Alarcon, 48, separated, Ruben Balagosa y Lumawag, 53, married, Jesus Pansensoy y Bubug, 69, married and Ernesto Amatorio y Siocon, 54, married, all of Talon-Talon Loop.

Police also confiscated from their possession two sets of mahjong chips, two mahjong tables and some paraphernalia.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 in court. – Dan Toribio
