Piad sits as new Maritime Chief Print

Supt. Salbino C. Piad has assumed as the new Chief of  Regional Maritime Unit-9, replacing Sr. Supt Pedro D. Soliba.

Soliba will take over as the new head of Regional Maritime Unit-12.

Piad is a former Special Action Force Commander before he became an official of the Maritime Police.

Piad’s former subordinates will reportedly receive awards for their gallantry in fighting the war in Marawi.

Prior to his assumption as the new RMU-9 Chief, Piad arrived from Malaysia to attend the regular Malaysian-Philippines-

Indonesian Border Patrol Conference hosted by Malaysia.

Piad attended the meet together with Maritime Group Director  Chief Supt Marcelo C. Morales, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9)

Director Chief Supt Billy B. Beltran and other top officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP.)

Meanwhile, Soliba will take his oath as the new Maritime Chief of Region 12 at Makar Wharf in General Santos city on Tuesday.  (Allen Abastillas)
