PDEA’s P5-M drug bust a big accomplishment Print

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA9) Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio is considering the confiscation of P5- million worth of shabu from five drug personalities as one of their biggest accomplishments in the region.

Aspacio and his agents came up with the plan for a buy-bust operation against alleged big time pushers from Sulu that  led to the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of big shabu shipment last Friday.

The buy-bust operation was conducted along Gov. Camins Avenue past 3 p.m.

Aspacio identified those arrested as Din-din Ronie y Ammad, 30, married, of Tiptipon, Panglima Estino, Sulu; Dismar Gulam y Asanji, 23, single, of Siit, Panamao, Sulu; Jamesar Abdulmaid y Abduljalim, 33, married, of Bangday, Panamao, Sulu; Jamesar Hussin y Kari, 33, married, of Kanukol, Panamao, Sulu and Binnajar Hadjili y Ejiram, 30,  married and of Bangday, Panamao, Sulu.

Confiscated from their possession were twenty large- sized sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less one kilo with a market value of P5,000,000; one blue economy bag, one box labeled with Coco Crunch; cash amounting to P349,000 and one bundle of boodle money topped with two pieces P1,000 bills utilized as marked money.

Aspacio said that the suspects will be charged for violation of Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) in relation to Section 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
