One dead in Pasonanca collision Print

A motorcycle driver died while his backrider was injured when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a Bongo- type truck along the boundary of Sta. Maria and Pasonanca yesterday early morning.

The fatality was identified as Jude Ceasar Simbi y Saavedra, 22, of Canelar while his backrider who was  injured was identified as Rex Burgos Leones.

Simbi sustained  fatal injuries in the body while Leones was taken to the hospital.

DZT gathered that Simbi was driving his motorcycle with Leones and were heading towards Pasonanca at high speed early dawn yesterday when the collision happened.

When the duo reached the area near the border of Sta. Maria and Pasonanca, they encroached on the area where the truck was coming from the opposite direction, resulting to the collision.

The truck was driven by Gerald Siguin y Villegas, with companions identified as Lizzel and Genevive.

Both vehicles were impounded at the Sta. Maria Police Station while Siguin was placed under police custody. – Dan Toribio
