Congressman Celso Lobregat asked ZPNP Chief Director Geneal Ronal Dela Rosa to also include Zamboanga City in the priority listing of the PNP for the procurement and allocation of modern fighting equipments and transportation which is now being purchased by the command to combat criminalities.

During their meeting in a local hotel with Dela Rosa, Congressman Lobregat expressed his interest in the things Dela Rosa revealed to his men here during his visit last week, wherein he mentioned about sophisticated assault rifles, transportation and other equipments which are very vital to the police in performing their field operation jobs.

Lobregat told Dela Rosa that the accomplishments of our local police in the campaign against terrorism, wanted persons, riding in tandem among others was heared by the chief PNP during his visit here recently and there is no reason for our local police here now to obtain similar opportunities like those of Metro Manila.

The solon  also bannered to Dela Rosa the skills and accomplishments of our local police force which is a basis for his evaluation if they deserved to be awarded or not.

"Our PNP operatives in the city and the region in general can perform better  and at par with those of Metro Manila, thats why they deserve equal opportunities," Lobregat said.-Dexter Yap
