The city government is planning to spend some P2 million to decorate the city for the holiday season.

The theme for this year is “Angels.”

Engr. Rene Dela Cruz, City General Service Officer, said that  City Hall, Plaza Pershing, Paseo Del Mar, Plaza del Pilar, Veteran’s Monument, and Jardin Maria Clara will be lighted and decorated anew in time for the holiday season.

A 55ft. Christmas tree will be the centerpiece at Paseo del Mar and a 30ft. Christmas tree at Plaza Pershing.

There are 60 employees coming from the GSO who were tasked to do the decorating and they are targeting to finish the work by November 30.

Work is scheduled to start next week.

“Otro ahora cay Angels el theme. Wait until November 30, cay the GSO is working non-stop para pwede kame man meet el deadline,” Dela Cruz said.

Recall that for the year 2016, the theme for the Christmas decoration was It’s a Small World.

Paseo del Mar was decorated with the Eiffel Tower , the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the pyramids of Giza, the Opera House of Sydney Australia, and London’s Big Ben.

The City Hall, is always the center of attraction and has been featured nationwide because of its attractive christmas decoration.  RGAAGo
