Man, 32, killed in Recodo gun attack PDF Print E-mail

A 32-year-old man was killed while his daughter and his uncle escaped unhurt in a gun attack perpetrated by his own brother-in-law at Zone 8, Recodo last Tuesday morning.

The fatality was identified as Abuarin Kalim, married. He was shot by Yahsin Mambon who was aided by two unidentified companions.

A police report disclosed that Kalim and his three-year-old daughter Marmia were riding on a motorcycle driven by his uncle Julambre Akbar and were on their way home
around 7 a.m., when Mambon and his two companions opened fire on them some 15 meters away from their house.

Kalim was hit,  while his daughter and uncle escaped unhurt.
Kalim sustained bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Mambon and his two companions sped away aboard a motorcycle.
The victim was rushed to the Brent Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Recovered at the crime scene was a spent shell of .45 caliber pistol. — Dan Toribio Jr.
