246 vehicles held for road violations PDF Print E-mail

The City Police’s Traffic Section under Sr. Insp. Cesar Memoracion reported that a total of 246 vehicles were apprehended recently for road and traffic law  violations.
The traffic section said the figure covers the period from August 15 to 21, 2011.

A total of 21 vehicles were apprehended for loading passengers on prohibited zones.

Fourteen motorcycles were held for having modified mufflers.
The campaign against “no headlight” resulted netted two motorcycles.

A total of 188 motorcyclists were stopped for not wearing crash helme. A total of 11 motorcycles were held for improper display of plate and 10 were intercepted for violation of the “no plate, no travel” policy.

Thirty nine vehicles were impounded and the drivers were issued TOP and citation tickets.

The traffic section’s accomplishment report was submitted to Mayor Celso Lobregat by City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo. — Dan Toribio Jr.
