Armed men aboard a car hold-up youngsters in downtown Zambo Print

Three young men lost their respective cell phones to hold-uppers who were onboard a luxury vehicle along Barangay Sucabon, this city last Friday shortly before midnight.

Police identified the victims as Philip Ryan Torres y Magtangob, 20, of Boalan, John Francis Basan y Erabuno, 21, and Richard Bautista y Gallardo, Jr., 22, both of Barangay Tugbungan.

Initial police investigation showed that the three were along Sucabon in Barangay Zone 2 around 11:45 p.m. when an Adventure vehicle colored red having a combination number of 333 but the letters of the plate were not visible, appeared from nowhere and stopped in front of them.

One of the passengers alighted and offered them illegal drugs while the driver claimed that they were cops.

Shortly, the driver pulled a handgun and suddenly pointed at them.

Then the suspects immediately diversted their respective cell phones including their P1,700 cash before speeding awa.

The victims went to the Central Police Station to report the incident. – Dan Toribio
